Stevenage Borough Council working alongside biz4Biz and Sustainable X is offering local businesses the opportunity to register for another Meet the Buyer event at Knebworth Barnes, Knebworth, from 9am to 1pm on 25 June 2024.
The event provides the opportunity for buyers and would-be suppliers to engage and forge long term relationships as part of an ongoing fully funded Sustainability Business Support Programme.
Following on from the previous Meet the Buyer event held in September 2023, it aims to accelerate supply chain development opportunities for all businesses attending from a wide range of sectors.
The event will provide first-hand knowledge from buyers of forthcoming tender opportunities, their requirements, and potential timelines. Attendees will also receive valuable insights into specialised support programmes and initiatives to maximise value.
It will also provide wider learning opportunities on increasing competitiveness, through brand awareness and attractiveness, alongside, supporting strategies to reduce waste, as well as increase efficiencies and overall cost savings in operations.
There is also the opportunity to find out more about retrofitting residential properties, for local businesses and trades people to access and secure new contracts to support wider growth and ensure homes across the county become greener. This includes access to specialised initiatives and ongoing support to futureproof businesses and access a vast pipeline of opportunities.
It is important that local businesses benefit from the wider development and contract opportunities that will continue to transform Stevenage over a 20-year period and beyond. This includes the wider opportunities available through retrofitting.
The Meet the Buyer event is there to support all local businesses of all sizes and provides a good opportunity to meet key decision makers and access unique opportunities.
